Due to COVID-19, we have postponed our wedding and reception to October 1st, 2021 at a new venue. This date is still tentative, given the unpredictability of the pandemic. Until then, we wish everyone health and safety!
Our Story
December 2012
The story begins with Breãnna making the difficult decision to move across the country from a cow pasture in rural Northern California to the "big city" of South Bend, Indiana to attend college at the University of Notre Dame. She planned on majoring in Math.
December 2013
Similarly, a year later John made the same hard decision to leave his
family, to also attend the University of Notre Dame,
planning to major in Computer Science.
Breãnna came to her senses and switched her
major to Computer Science.
March 2016
Breãnna got together with
a few of her friends to re-up the Notre Dame Linux Users
Group.
John, urged by one of the co-founders of the club, joined
the club Slack channel and started annoying Breãnna, much
to her chagrin. Apparently, they were also in the same Stats
class.
Later that month, John finally shows his face to a club
meeting, after Breãnna made the very good point that it was
so easy for him to annoy her online, but avoid her in person.
She was fully expecting to despise him in person, but once
they met, she knew they were going to be good friends.
August 2016
Their friendship continued, and at the end of the summer when John and Breãnna came back to campus, all of a sudden they started being "shipped" by the NDLUG advisor, known as pbui, who they both had become good friends with. It probably started out as a very not-subtle joke, but it caused John and Breãnna to become even better friends.
October 2016
Joke's on pbui, because John and Breãnna actually started dating.
